ABOUT US

I am Juan Ignacio Milla, one of the 4th grade Spanish teacher in Liberty Elementary School, I will teach Math and Science and I will be too one of the homeroom teacher.

I am from Granada, a city situated in south-east of Spain, I am only child and I am totally glad of being here in Lexington, because it is an enormous opportunity to me the fact of teaching Spanish and helping to improve the learning of the language.

My mission as a teacher is to help children discover what make them feel passion: the joy of learning, and to help each child develop a strong belief in his or her own ability.  I want them to do their best and to have a sense of pride in doing their personal best.  It is also of primary importance to me that my students appreciate and respect other peoples’ differences, at the same time that they consider the need of being co- responsible with the society.

Hi!  I'm Mrs. Rawlins and I feel honored to have your children in my class.  I have been teaching for 27 years and I feel blessed to have a job that has given me so much joy throughout all of these years!  I live in Paris and my husband, Teddy, works as a Deputy for the Sheriff's Department in Bourbon County.  I have two grown sons.  My oldest son, Bradlee, lives and works in my hometown of Melbourne, Florida.  My youngest son, William, lives at home and works for Trane in Lexington.

I received my undergraduate and Master's degree from the University of Kentucky.  I also have my National Board Certification as a Middle Childhood Generalist.  My door is always open and if at any time you have any questions or concerns please feel free to call or stop in for a conference.
